Alan Ford
My Dad passed away in June 2007 - he had had prostate cancer for a good many years but it was kept in check with regular injections, but with the passing of time and with his age against him (88) the disease finally took its toll.

John Horne
We thought he would get his telegram from the Queen and were devasted when such a healthy active man in his early 70's was struck down by prostate cancer. If only the campaign to make people aware of prostate cancer had been launched sooner

Rex Howe Bonsall (Grandfather)
He was the most generous, loving and talented man I knew. Prostate cancer was the main illness that claimed his life in June 2005, and the grief still feels raw even now. I urge all fellas to make sure they are aware of their health, and if any problems start occuring to go get checked out straight away. It could have saved my grandfathers life, and it may well save theirs..
- Natalie Hawksley

Grandad Brown (William Charles Brown)
My Grandad was the most generous and loving man I have ever known, we lost him 5 years ago to prostate cancer, unfortunatly it was caught too late and nothing could be done to save him. I will always remember his smile and fantastic sense of humour and his memory lives on in all of his children and grandchildren. I will love you always grandad, until we meet again. Rest in Peace x x Jade x x

Mark Fletcher (father)
Actually it turned out to be stomach cancer. He had so much trouble with his prostate that we spent years terrified it was prostate cancer and that drew our fire. Instead, prostate cancer turned out to be cannon fodder while the real cancer invaded elsewhere. But had it been prostate cancer, we would be no less devastated and he would have suffered just as much. - Rachel Fletcher

Mickey Callaghan (Grandad)
Cancer is the worst word to hear! My grandad was diagonsed with prostate cancer in 2004 it took 3 years for the cancer to spread. If you show any signs of the cancer please get checked before its too late! Women be supportive with the man in you life, if they are too afraid to go to the doctors go with them! Sadly the cancer spread to his bones & he passed away 25th March 2007. Its been really hard, my family talk about grandad & what he was like. We miss him alot & we will never forget him!

My Dad Fred Smith
My Dad died of prostate cancer in 2004, I miss him so much. His warm sense of humor and his great banjo playing, I do not believe in the watchfull waiting treatment of prostate cancer in older men, with the theory something else will kill him first, That was not the case for my dad.
- Laurie Kidd
