Mark Emberton, who is one of our trustees is looking for men to take part in a trial around HiFu as a treatment for prostate cancer.  Click here for more information via the Cancer Research UK website

Bristol Myers Squibb are running a trial looking at dasatinib with chemotherapy for prostate cancer that has spread to other parts of the body and is no longer responding to hormone therapy.  Dasatinib is a drug called a tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI). Researchers think that it may help men who have hormone refractory prostate cancer. In this trial, half the men will have dasatinib at the same time as docetaxel and steroids. The other half will have a dummy drug (a placebo) at the same time as docetaxel and steroids.  Click here for more information via the Cancer Research UK Website
